project brief
The South Valley Development Project is a large-scale irrigation and land-reclamation initiative in Toshka, Egypt, designed to expand arable land and support sustainable agricultural growth across the region. The master plan integrates canal networks, pumping infrastructure, and phased development zones that balance technical performance with long-term environmental stewardship.
Arqa Far Peak provided programming and concept design services for The Military Engineering Authority, aligning water-management systems with operational requirements and future expansion goals. The project demonstrates how strategic infrastructure can unlock new economic opportunity while responding carefully to regional hydrology and site conditions.
From feasibility through early design development, the framework establishes a scalable model for one of Egypt’s most ambitious desert-reclamation efforts, supporting communities, logistics, and agricultural production across the valley.
