project brief
The Dakar National Stadium Complex combines a 45,000-seat bowl, training pitches, athlete facilities, and public plazas into a civic sports destination for Senegal. The design emphasizes spectator sightlines, operational flexibility for concerts and national events, and legacy use for community athletics programs.
Concept design shaped the stadium form, seating geometry, concourse hierarchy, and surrounding mobility strategy for both match-day peaks and everyday activation. Public space around the venue is treated as an extension of the stadium experience rather than leftover land.
Developed for the Senegal Sports Authority, the complex is intended to function as a national landmark with lasting value beyond major event days.
